As much as I appreciate and value Ron Johnson’s courageous effort in advocating, supporting, and sharing the stories of the vaccine-injured with the Senate hearings he held, he is “on the fence” or seemingly not supportive of the right to choose who you are married to.
As a Democrat, I still haven’t broken my habit of checking CNN every morning even though I am thoroughly disgusted by their support of the VAX scam and narrative. I appreciated their segment and story this morning regarding Ron Johnson and the help he could offer in getting gay marriage solidified beyond the Supreme Court.

Essentially, Democrats are trying to get Republican support to repeal “the Defense of Marriage Act”, a law that does NOT recognize same-sex marriage. Thankfully, the Supreme Court made this law moot. But actually repealing this law with the “Respect for Marriage” Act, which is proposed legislation in Congress, would further solidify and protect marriage equality on a federal level.
In the interview, Senator Tammy Baldwin (D), says Senator Ron Johnson had initially been supportive of this legislation but now says he won’t support it “in its current form”. I have not been able to find details of what his issue is with the bill in its “current form”. Please enlighten me if you can with specifics.
Bottom line—I have been talking with many Republicans on social media where we both agree and are working toward exposing the lies concerning the vaccine and the pandemic. They tell me to join Republicans and to vote Republican and many say they are supportive of LBGTQ. If that is true, than here is your chance to prove it and contact Senator Ron Johnson and tell him you would like him to support this legislation. Freedom to choose your own medical treatment should translate to Freedom to choose who you want to be married to. If you don’t agree with a particular medical treatment, then don’t take it. If you don’t want to be married to a same-sex spouse, than don’t marry someone from the same-sex. You’re choice.
As Senator Baldwin explained, marriage is more than the ceremony and the license. It means so much in legal terms such as hospitalization visitation rights and many more rights applicable to married couples.
I believe many Republican representatives are not supportive of LBGTQ. Many conservatives have a problem with more complicated issues such as curriculum in schools, trans rights and gender pronouns, etc. Whether you agree or not with these issues or the extent, do you think it is okay to tell others they can’t marry who they want? The past several years of being shunned, shamed, and vilified for not going along with the majority in getting the experimental mRNA shot, should give Republicans a foul taste of what it feels like for the 6% of our population who have had to live with this treatment for many years. Stop being a hypocrite if you are fighting for freedom for yourself and your loved ones on one front and denying it on another.
If you want more disgruntled Democrats to join your ranks, and there are many considering or already doing so, now is the time to tell your Representatives you support gay marriage.

Ron Johnson also thinks climate change is bullshit. I'll admit that a lot of climate scientists are very bottom-of-the-barrel, and global warming is probably caused more by ozone depletion than by CO2 (I'm not even completely sure whether CO2 doesn't reflect more heat away than it traps in) and many of the proposed solutions are insufficient or will be costly to the middle class, but that's no reason not to invest in green technology, which would create a lot of jobs and make this stuff cheaper for the middle class. I mean fossil fuel is disgusting for a lot of reasons that have nothing to do with climate change.
